The 333 islands of Fiji offer visitors or residents a varied and exciting range of experiences. One can relax on the beach by day, watch stunning tropical sunsets at the day's end.  Activities are many, with coral reefs to verdant rainforests offering some of the best diving, snorkelling and hiking imaginable. There are several National Parks in Fiji (including one of the most well-known in Taveuni) with trails, nature reserves for bird watching and walking, hidden waterfalls and cool pools. Culturally, a visit to a Fijian village, where one can view and experience the traditional Fijian way of life, is one not forgotten.

The climate remains a big attraction for overseas visitors and residents as the sun shines almost every day and when it does rain, it is an exciting warm tropical shower, ending as quickly as it began. Fiji offers a relaxing change of lifestyle, where rushing is regarded as odd, and where the Fijian people will welcome you as friends.

Fiji is the largest commercial centre in the South Pacific and is the business hub of the region. It is also a major stopover point for flights between North America, Australia and New Zealand.  Regular international flights land at Nadi International Airport on the main island of Viti Levu every week.

The main island of Fiji is Viti Levu, with Nadi on the north-west coast, and the capital of Suva is on the south coast.
